When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of knowledge related to your tinkering works, if you do not know that information, you often have an idea where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from another Tinker or Engineer, or for materials other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found.

Tinkers are usually defined by how they work and what they work with, some are reclusive whereas some work on the road, exploring new locations and learning from different sources.
