Your time in the monastery hasn't been put all to waste. Your acrobatic skill and athletic body allowed you to perform with the best of them. You saw many sights and traveled far and wide. However, it wasn't just legitimate business, sometimes they put your skills to work in separating many guests from their coin, be it from games disguised as scams, or just straight-up pickpocketing.

The best income is always from the simplest of sources, in more ways than one. If you are in a non-hostile settlement, you can spend a short rest, instead of healing, to set up a table game challenging the various civilians and patrons to games meant to scam them of their coin. Roll a DC 10 Sleight of Hand check. If you roll above a 10, you gain three times the difference in Silver. However, if you roll below a 10, you lose twice the difference in Copper.
Suggested Characteristics
Charlatans are colorful characters who conceal their true selves behind the masks they construct. They reflect what people want to see, what they want to believe, and how they see the world. But their true selves are sometimes plagued by an uneasy conscience, an old enemy, or deep-seated trust issues.
