Ch'r'ai Inquisitor Image

The githyanki caste system holds Ch'r'ai Inquisitors in high regard.  They are loyal investigators serving the interests of queen Vlaakith.  They ferret out items of power and information from the Prime Material plane that may serve to benefit her aims.  They are also trained in interrogation techniques using their innate psionic powers to break down the minds of those they are questioning as a means to determine motives and loyalities as well as information to assist their detective work.  They are trained in the rituals and customs of the Githyanki hierarchy and also learn the essential lore of the major religions of the prime material plane to use as a point of leverage to guide their inquisitions.

Githyanki Decadence

Prior to becoming an investigator you spent time cloistered in study on the Astral Plane in the Githyanki city of Tu'narath.  The decadent luxury and freedom from hunger and aging have made you somewhat spoiled when travelling.

d6 Githyanki Decadence
1 You love precious and semiprecious gemstones and adorn yourself with as many as you can.
2 The passage of time loses meaning for long term inhabitants of the Astral Plane. You have a poor ability to track the passage of days and the shifting of seasons.
3 Your time spent in indulgence and luxury in the city of Tu'narath has given you a taste for lavish accomodations. You find it distasteful to stay in low rent or rough wilderness circumstances.
4 The natural psionic communication of the Githyanki in their cloistered city makes you feel at home. Speaking your thoughts out loud to communicate an idea is a primitive trait of lesser races and you prefer to speak directly into the mind when you can.
5 The ability to glide through the air with a thought on the Astral Plane is second nature to you. Walking or riding animals seems primitive and you have a small aversion to it.
6 The physical aging your body incurs on the Prime Material plane is repellant and frightening to you. You would much prefer the timelessness of life in the Astral Sea.

Feature: Psychic Inquisitor

You conferred with other investigators and curious scholars to become familiar with the religious lore of other cultures in the hopes of unlocking the power of their reliquary objects or secrets of divine origin.  To this end, you have honed your Githyanki psionics to penetrate and mold the minds of others.  These skills are used to test loyalty and extract information that could aid your inquisition.  You gain a selection of spells to aid in social situations and treasure hunting.

You can cast a spell chosen from the list at without a spell slot, and you must finish a long rest before you can cast it in this way again. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have.
