Polygamist, Child Of Image

You were born into a polygamist situation.  Whether your mother was a widow who had to remarry to survive, a wife in a line of many, or a harem chamber maiden, she had to share her spouse with other women.  In the end, you have many half-brothers and sisters, that you were always taught to see as siblings.  In your perspective, this was not that bad of a situation.  Your father figure made enough money for you to be properly educated, and always had a place to call home.  As a family you had to struggle sometimes but in general your life was above average.  However, you learned at an early age that when you reached adulthood, you were expected to make it on your own, as there was not going to be any family fortune to inherit.

The way you were raised has led you to having a very strong sense of family (no pun intended,) but strained your view of male role-models.  This upbringing has distorted your perspective of sexual roles.  The male is supposed to provide for the family, and woman are supposed to raise and attend to the children.  In your mind these sexual roles are without exception.  Affection from your father figure could only be attained through achievements.  If you were not getting good grades in your studies or advancing your skills, your father would cast you aside for a sibling who was.

You had a very sheltered but competitive upbringing.

Skill Proficiencies: Two of your choice from arcana, history, investigation, medicine, nature, performance, or religion.

Languages: One language of your choice.
Equipment: A set of traveler’s clothes, an instrument, a signet ring, a scroll proving your birthright, a trinket made for you by your mother, and a purse containing 20gp’s.

Feature: Family Management Skills

Thanks to the way you were born you know how to efficiently manage others to where the chores get done by a certain time of the day, classes and study times are organized, etc.  You know how to organize large meals to be are prepared, served, and cleaned up after, all like clockwork.  In short, you know how to organize groups to work together.  Your strong sense of family will make you attractive to those who never knew such a lifestyle, and your organizational skills can be used to impress anyone who needs someone to manage a group.

Suggested Characteristics

Ancient polygamist cultures were looked upon very differently than they are today.  In many ancient cultures, this was just a way to survive.  You may not be of noble birth, but you did not live in squalor either.  You would have had access to an education, and you would have learned social skills through the many people you lived with every day.
