Haunted Survivor

You survived and are haunted by a tragedy in your past that's so scarring you dare not speak of it. You've tried to move on and forget but unfortunately it's to no avail. Heart stopping visions of the past come to you as nightmares, occasionally pushing past the realm of dreams to stalk you in your waking hours as shadow figures on the wall, or the wailing whispers and/or screams of the damned. The weight of the burden you carry, though not physical, is finally starting to take it's toll upon you, and the only reason you carry on despite your burden is one goal. That goal is to take back what was stolen from you, be it the life of a loved one, a memory, a simple trinket or a treasured item etc..... You must find a way to survive and complete your goal before the darkness festering inside of you overcomes and destroys you.

Skill Proficiencies: Choose one from among Perception, Deception, sleight of hand, or Survival 

Tool Proficiencies: One type of gaming set, thieves’ tools, disguise kit

Languages: Choose two, one of which must be Abyssal, Celestial, Deep Speech, Draconic, Infernal, Primordial, Sylvan, or Undercommon

Equipment: A monster hunter’s pack (containing a chest, a crowbar, a hammer, three wooden stakes, a holy symbol, a flask of holy water, a set of manacles, a steel mirror, a flask of oil, a tinderbox, and 3 torches), one trinket of special significance (choose one or roll on the Horror Trinkets table after this background), a set of common clothes, a Scimitar, a dagger, a set of dark common clothes including a hood, and 1 sp.
