Devil, Demon, Eldritch horror, all have their own machinations and desires. You are part of this. You cannot escape your fate. You were created by an unknown entity with evil intent. You are a tool to exact their will and further their goals, but yet you don't know what these goals are. You might not know who or what made you, and even less likely you know why you were created. You only know your desire to dominate, destroy, and enforce your will on mortals.
The Created By Dread is a tyrant and malevolent entity that, on purpose or accident, enacts the will of their unholy creator. You might not know who created you, or they had a direct part in your birth, but you know that you must dominate or destroy everything. Scheming and plotting are your best friend, unless you choose a more destructive path. But your will imposed onto mortals is your primary concern, because by doing this you gain power and further your own means. You could be a well-plotted and conceived part of a greater unholy plan, or a fit of rage or passion creating your life. With time you may understand what made you, and why, but you might never reveal these hidden truths and lies.
- Skill Proficiencies: You gain proficiency in Deception, and your choice of Arcana or Intimidation.
- Tool Proficiencies: Choose one Tool from, Disguise Kit, Forgery Kit, Poisoner's Kit, or Thieves' Tools
- Languages: You can learn Abyssal or Infernal, if you already know both you can choose any language you prefer.
- Equipment: You start with 1 mortal cultist. This cultist is bound to you, willing or unwilling, and might not even know who you or your creator is.
Creatures can sense your powerful will to dominate and naturally succumb to it or attempt to avoid it. Those within your own domain are more likely to trust and help you, but those in your opposite domain will try to subvert you or simply ignore you. Good aligned mortals fear and distrust you, they will run from your presence while evil aligned mortals flock to your banner and naturally wish to serve and help you.
Suggested Characteristics
Created by Dread are tyrants and destroyers. They embody unholy sin and negative energy. They are always evil-aligned, or chaotic-neutral, when choosing a domain.
Created by Dread Immortals share almost all their traits with their "parent" Immortal. Talk to your DM, and determine your Domain. A god, Immortal, or deity will be chosen from that Domain to have created you. If no such entity is available, your DM will choose another entity to have created you for your purpose and placed you within your domain.
