Collector Of The Dead Image

"Who is that fater?" asked the boy of his father. He pointed at a stout dwarf in stain covered robe and tabard who was dragging a corpse from the battlefield and placing it on a hand cart before saying a prayer over him. The father spoke with reverence "That is a Dead Collector. He brings our dead to be buried and makes sure (insert deity here) hears his plea to allow them to pass into the afterlife without it being snatched by demon or dark entity. May we all one day be collected by one of them, so that our bodies be blessed by (insert deity here) and sent to him without delay."

-A boy and his father speaking of a Dead Collector

Collectors of the Dead are priests of (insert deity here), a dwarven deity. They are tasked with collecting the dead from fields of battle, homes of the dwarven people, or from any location they find a dead dwarf. Their authority over the bodies is absolute and they make sure the bodies are taken care of and handled properly. They then prepare them for burial and bury them themselves if there is no group to do so where they are at.

Those who share your faith understand you are responsible for the bodies and rites of all dwarven men and women.
