Your ingenuity lets you work smarter, and harder, provided you have the necessary tools. When creating an item, magical or mundane, you can make it faster, or with less supplies than your peers. You can either reduce the time or cost of item creation in half. If you have expertise with the requires skills and/or tools, you can reduce both the time and expense of crafting in half.
Ex: with an herbalist kit (and proficiency) a potion of healing requires 1 day (8hr) and 25GP to craft. With this feature, at the start of crafting, you can make it in 4hr for 25GP, 8hr for 12.5GP, or with expertise in herbalist kit/arcana in 4hr for 12.5GP.
