It's just another normal day in your little village school, teaching basic common and arithmetic to the youngsters, and helping a select few older students prepare for a life in the big wide world.
When you were a student you were one of the select few, expected to leave the village and build a bigger life for yourself elsewhere. However, when the time came to say goodbye, you chose to stay and take on the role of Teacher.
It could be that, after years of sending bright young faces off to make their fortune, you've started to feel the pull of the world at large and now you yearn for adventure, or maybe you are seeking new teachings to pass on to your students, or something terrible has happened and you need to understand why?
