Dreamtouched Image

Dreamtouched are beings infused with energy from the Plane of Dreams. They could have had their soul trapped, or perhaps a native being of the Plane blessed/cursed them with the energy. Dreamtouched are rare, and most can easily blend in as the race they were born as. However, others have a harder time hiding their mystical affinity.

Some Dreamtouched can use their energy to cast spells. At your DM's choosing, they can describe all illusory and transmogrifying spells you cast as your character pulling dream energy to alter the Material Plane.

Skill Proficiencies: Perception, and two of your choice from Persuasion, Deception, Intimidation or Insight
Languages: Nightmarish and Dreamish, the thought-based languages spoken by beings of the Dream Plane.
Equipment: A set of common clothes, a journal or diary filled with descriptions or doodles of dreamscapes, and a pouch containing 5gp.

Dreamtouched Quirks

Your connection to the Plain of Dreams manifests, either in ways others can see, or in ways you can see.
Roll or choose 1 or 2 quirks from the Dreamtouched Quirks table.

d6 Dreamtouched Quirks
1 You feel the need to gain more energy by consuming other's dreams. You can do so by falling asleep to enter the Plane of Dreams and crossing to a creature's dreamscape, then absorbing it. You must be within 50ft of the targeted creature. The creature wakes up immediately after their dream is consumed.
2 Occasionally, your form flickers and warps, shifting colors for only a handful of seconds before returning to normal. It is a harmless visual effect, and does not disturb your physical form.
3 Your vision is riddled with hallucinations of people, creatures, swirls of color, or warping landscape. You're used to it, though, and gain no disadvantage for Perception checks because of it.
4 You can hear the muffled sound of other's dreams while they're asleep, and can see a blurred image of their dream playing above their head. It's impossible to make out anything other than base emotions.
5 Your shadow seems to have a mind of its own, and might wave at friends or make rude gestures towards enemies. It may even add its input to a conversation with a thumbs up or down.
6 Your dream affinity becomes physical, manifesting as glittering purple and pink sand, shifting and swirling around your body. It never stays still, and gets more sporadic if you're feeling strong emotions.

Feature: Imbued Power

Because of your attunement to the Plane of Dreams, you gain the following abilities.

Illusion Affinity: You gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to see past illusions or invisibility.

Warp Reality: Starting at 6th Level, for a number of hours equal to your proficiency bonus, you can alter your physical appearance. You must stay the same size you are naturally (e.g. if you are an Elf, you can only transform to a creature of size Medium.) Your weapons and armor do not change. You can use this ability to transform into a creature with a swim or fly speed. You retain your mental and physical statistics, but can choose to attempt to use your form's physical statistics by passing a DC-17 Concentration check. You can only use this ability once per long rest.
When you reach level 13, you can use this ability to transform to one size bigger or smaller than your normal (e.g. from Medium to Small or Large, or from Small to Tiny or Medium.)

Dream Strider: You are very familiar with the Plane of Dreams. At 3rd level, you can cast the Dream spell once per long rest, when you fall asleep. The messenger must be you, and you can only target a creature within 50ft of you.
