You don't remember when the dreams started, just that they have been a guide and muse to you. You see plans, items, creatures or machines and feel a need, a drive, to make them a reality. They also have a habit of allowing you a way to think about problems, seeing things from other perspectives or highlighting opportunities you hadn't noticed at the time. You're unsure if these dreams are your own or some otherworldly being with a plan. But they haven't steered you wrong...so far.

Feature: Inspiring Dream

During a long rest, you can choose to inspire yourself. Your Inspiring Dream die starts at d6.

You can roll the die and add the number to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw you make. You can wait until after you roll the d20 before deciding to use the Inspiring Dream die, but before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails.

If you choose to use this feature, you cannot gain inspiration from other sources. Once you use the Inspiring Dream die, you may gain inspiration from other sources.

Your Inspiring Dream die changes when you reach certain levels. The die becomes a d8 at 5th level, a d10 at 10th level, and a d12 at 15th level.

Suggested Characteristics

Dreamers can range from soft-eyed idealists to hard-hitting militarists and everything in between. The only thing they all have in common is seeing the world how they want it; and will act in whichever way makes that a reality, which makes them unpredictable. Sometimes waking up and do something that contradicts the very thing they believe.
