Whitestone Rifle Corps Gunsmith Image

You grew up in Whitestone, surrounded by brilliant minds like Percival de Rolo whose inventions and innovations have an impact across all of Exandria. Inspired by those feats of genius, you decided to become an inventor yourself and took on a job as a gunsmith for the Whitestone Rifle Corps. Not only are you adept at repairing and maintaining the unique weaponry of the soldiers of Whitestone, but you are also skilled at stitching and manufacturing their uniforms.

Skill Proficiencies: Investigation, Perception
Tool Proficiencies: Tinker's Tools, Weaver's Tools
Equipment: Tinker's tools, weaver's tools, a set of common clothes, and a pouch containing 10gp.

Feature: Gunsmith

You may use tinker's tools to craft ammunition at half the cost, repair damaged firearms, or even draft and create new ones (DM’s discretion). Some extremely experimental and intricate firearms are only available through crafting.

Feature: Legacy of Secrecy

You have been taught how to create and take care of a weapon both powerful and terrifying. The gun you create might transform the face of warfare and life in Tal’Dorei. It is a weapon that haunts the mind of its original creator, Percival de Rolo, manifesting as a pain that lives always behind his kind eyes.

If you're seen with a firearm of Whitestone, other folk around you—particularly adventurers, mercenaries, guards, engineers, and weapons enthusiasts—treat you differently. You might be seen as a noble defender of the people, a selfish hoarder of power, or anything in between, at the GM’s discretion.

Suggested Characteristics

Those who join the Whitestone Rifle Corps become members of an elite and trusted band known as the city-state’s staunchest defenders, and you're responsible for keeping their gear safe, and operational. This means you need to work with your DM to figure out why you've left Whitestone. Perhaps an invention of yours was stolen, or you're traveling with a mobile group of Whitestone Hunters. Either way, you find yourself embroiled now in a series of new adventures as you try to make your way back home.

Your bond is likely associated with your comrades in arms or with Whitestone itself. Your ideal could be tied to justice or protection, but could also be a secretive, selfish perversion of those virtues.
