Searcher

You are looking for something of great importance to you. It could be a mental, physical or spiritual object that you search for. You move around, staying in one place long enough to ask around and persuade people to tell you what they know. You have little possesions and almost no friends or close ones. There is only one thing you are sure of in your life: You must find this thing before death finds you.

Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from among Perception, Investigation, Persuasion, Insight, or Survival

Languages: Choose one exotic language (Abyssal, Celestial, Deep Speech, Draconic, Infernal, Primordial, Sylvan, or Undercommon) that you have learnt on your travels.

Equipment:  An explorer's pack (see the sidebar), a set of common clothes, and one trinket of special significance to your search (choose one or roll on the Gothic Trinkets table after this background).
