The Lithite Consortium is an organization that offers brokerage and other financial services to various entities. Their origins are shrouded in darkness, but in the Age of Ascendency mysterious figures appear in the historical record offering precious metals, gems, and other spell components at standardized prices. The source of these materials was (and still is) the source of much speculation. Wherever people have need to buy, sell, or otherwise trade in rare goods, valuable materials, or magic items, the Consortium can be found.
In reality, the Consortium is based out of the Elemental Plane of Earth, bargaining for materials from Earth Elementals and Stone Giants, cutting and grading those materials to standard, and using their magical prowess to provide those goods wherever there is a demand for them. Out of this enterprise blossomed a web of banking and monetary services, and the funding of enterprises to satisfy the inscrutable whims of the Earth Elementals and Stone Giants that furnish the desirable goods.

The Consortium treats its agents well, and you and your companions can seek aid from a Consortium agent or any safehouse/outpost. Your party can be housed at a modest lifestyle for a reasonable amount of time while you pursue your own goals. However, while you are being supported by the consortium, you and your companions may be asked to assist the Consortium in any number of capacities. Refuse such a request at your own peril.
Additionally, you and your adventuring companions can expect to receive free information and leads from Consortium agents, and strangers may offer their patronage if they discover your association.
