Gebicuan Image

The Gebicuans were born from an assembling of adventurers, scholars, practitioners of the arts, and clergy. Known as worshipers of the God Gebiuan (God of knowledge and fate), in the trade language they are known as the Tídscriptors and generally expected of as wondering bards, teachers, or priests, who move from one town to the next speaking, but more so listening, to anyone who approaches them. As followers of Gebiuan they are welcomed for their blessings during harvest and the New Year. The priests of the other Gods treat them with cold courtesy, and non-felt respect, as the coming of the new year had always followed the time of their God's decree, as time has passed ore people are, while still respecting their God, are taking on the arrival of the Tidscriptor as the coming of the new year and treating it as a time of blessing and celebration. The Gebicuans are also caretakers tasked with protecting whatever community they find themselves in from those that would cause it harm, both seen and unseen.

The Gebicuans talk about a time to come a time they call the Onlihting (Old English for illumination, enlightenment). A time when the truth about the Gods will be known to all and the people will become one with those, they now worship. The members of Gebicuan are not in fact worshipers of the God of Knowledge but its creator, long ago they learned that the Gods were not themselves Gods, but beings raised to Godlike status through the faith of those that worshiped them. Those that founded the Gebicuan order did so to teach what they had learned in a way to bring people to Onlihting, a state of being where they came to know as being a child of Anwalda. Feature: Legend Lore

LEGEND LORE
Through their travels Gebicuans seek out stories both mundane and spectacular, from gallant knights saving the residents of a village from Bandits to the saviors of the land who drove off the evil prince. Stories of long hidden fountains that grant immortality to those who drink form it, to the secret location of the crown of the true king of the realm. It is the Bard that makes sure these stories stand the test of time and the exploits of their heroes never die.

By the time, the Gebicuan hits 10th level they have accumulated so many of these stories that they are unmatched in their knowledge of the myths, folk lore, and legends of the land. Though mysteries continually surround even the most common legend in mist the Gebicaun is able, through research, gleam from the passage of time the tale they seek.
