Horde Outrider Image

Your people are at ease on worgback and spend the bulk of their time in the saddle. They roam in great hordes, all over the grasslands, following game or seasons. Raiding, hunting, and foraging for a living. As an Outrider, you are equal parts scout, vanguard, and herald. Your people are feared and respected for their prowess in mounted combat, particularly their accuracy while at full speed.

 
Skill Proficiencies:
Your people have close relationships with their mounts. You are accustomed to the nomadic life of hunting and gathering. You are proficient in Animal Handling and Survival.
Tool Proficiencies: Your tack is your life, the first lessons you learn as a child is to inspect, repair, and maintain your tack. You gain proficiency in Leather worker's Tools.
Languages: Because of your peoples nomadic and warlike nature, they often learn the languages of those they frequently raid and trade with. You gain proficiency in your choice of Dwarven, Goblin, or Giant.
Equipment: You start with a saddle, bridle, and saddlebags appropriate to your people's mounts. 
 
Feature: Hard Bargain
Your people steal, or raid to provide for the Horde. That reputation precedes you, merchants prefer to haggle as opposed to the alternatives. You get up to a 25% discount when purchasing mounts or basic goods. You may also sell mounts or goods for up to a 10% bonus. Additionally, you gain the Mounted Combatant feat.

1 It is taboo among my people to purchase food. I must catch or gather and cook my own meals.
2 I am accustomed to skittish animals, so I move in a deliberate, slow manner, and speak similarly.
3 I have little concept of privacy.
4 I place no stock in wealthy or well-mannered folk. Money and manners won't save you from a hungry owlbear.
5 I have a lesson for every situation, drawn from observing nature.
6 It's bad luck to be at the back of any line.

1 Change. Life is like the seasons, in constant change, and we must change with it. (Chaotic)
2 Honor. If I dishonor myself, I dishonor my whole clan. (Lawful)
3 Nature. The natural world is more important than all the constructs of civilization. (Neutral)

5 Glory. I must earn glory in battle, for myself and my clan. (Any)
6 Greater Good. It is each person's responsibility to make the most happiness for the whole tribe. (Good)

1 My family, clan, or tribe is the most important thing in my life, even when they are far from me.
2 An injury to the unspoiled wilderness of my home is an injury to me.
3 I will bring terrible wrath down on the evildoers who destroyed my homeland.
4 I am the last of my tribe, and it is up to me to ensure their names enter legend.
5 It is my duty to provide children to sustain my tribe.
6 My freedom is my most precious possession. I'll never let anyone take it from me.
d6 Flaw
1 I pretend not to understand the local language in order to avoid interactions I would rather not have.
2 I am secretly (or not so secretly) convinced of the superiority of my own culture over that of this foreign land.
3 Don't expect me to save those who can't save themselves. It is nature's way that the strong thrive and the weak perish.
4 There's no room for caution in a life lived to the fullest, and violence is my answer to almost any challenge.
5 I remember every insult I've received and nurse a silent resentment toward anyone who's ever wronged me.
6 I am slow to trust members of other races, tribes, and societies.
