You drink to forget, or perhaps to remember. You can either be found at a tavern or in the comfort of your own solitude, always with a drink in your hand. You can't remember the last time you weren't drunk to some degree. You are often rude, blunt, inconsiderate, and apathetic, however you have a keen eye that can see right through a man, revealing his true nature and intentions. You've pushed everyone out of your life, or they have pushed you out of theirs. Either way, alcohol is your only true friend. You have seen a lot in your time and your only wish is to see no more.
After an incomprehensible amount of drinking you can handle your liquor better than anyone around you. You are immune to the disadvantages of being drunk both in combat and regular life.
Suggested Characteristics
This background is for character's who has suffered greatly in his past and is trying to forget it all. For example, I'm using this with my character who suffers from the guilt of being unable to protect his home and his people. It's a fun narrative that can actually be used to flip the generic stories and themes that are inherent in a lot of classes.
