You were intended to never be an adventurer, likely to be married off to some distant noble or royal to reinforce some alliance between your family/kingdom to another. But you desire something better. Whether you decided to adventure due to wanting something else, or you somehow lost your lofty perch, you are used to being treated a certain way and having to adapt to your new situation
Most princesses have high charisma, and will tend to have less martial classes. That said, there is no reason why your princess can’t become a ranger or paladin. Note that one doesn’t have to be of noble heritage to obtain the background; those noble in spirit (Mulan) or destined to be a princess thru marriage (Cinderella) can use this background, althro choosing the right characteristics or blending in the abilities of the princess background with another will work wonders for your character. Also, a princess could be re-visioned akin to a American southern belle or a cultured American northern lady (see Inspirations below)

- Equipment: Equipment: A horse (or equivalent), exquisite clothing that brings out her best features, and 25 gp
The princess usually comes across as so innocent or so little a threat, that they will never be the first choice for enemies to attack, and wild animals are likely to never attack them. Once a princess attacks the individual, or if the individual’s main goal is the princess herself, this feature does not apply. Also, NPCs may be drawn to protect you, althro less likely to do so if your party is with you.
