You have spent years writing down notes and words. This can be making massive amounts of copies of the same book, dictating the spoken thoughts of a loremaster or taking notes for a researcher. The experience has given you an exquisite skill with penmanship.

To determine the nature of your work, roll a d8 or choose from the options in the table below.
| d8 | Specialty |
|---|---|
| 1 | Librarian |
| 2 | Researcher's assistant |
| 3 | Wizard’s apprentice |
| 4 | Expedition log writer |
| 5 | Author's assistant |
| 6 | Speach writer |
| 7 | Stenograph |
| 8 | Secretary |
Your experience with rapid note taking and constant writing has given you nimble hands with the pen and quill. Whenever you are to make written copies of a text, you do so with half the time it would normally take. You are also quite adept at recognizing abbreviations or shortened words in written form.
This ability does not affect writing time related to copying spells or the crafting of spell scrolls. Also, just because you're able to make a copy of a magical rune, does not mean it's automatically magical.
