You have been travelling for many years across terrains that ranged from mountainous towers of stone to grovelling huts deep within the twisted roots of trees. You have become adept at momentary fitting in with whatever society you are surrounded by in order to pick up on clues and hints that others would rather keep hidden. Your wanderings might have left you with few friends, and long-forgotten contacts, but it has also brought you into contact with a thousand possible faces and stories to snatch and remake for your own purposes.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from: Stealth, Deception, Investigation and Survival.
You have to slip through each terrain and encounter seamlessly with a quick word and quicker sidestep. - Tool Proficiencies: You have proficiency in the disguise kit and poisoner's kit.
At times, you have had to trick your way into lodgement and food, hiding behind fake personas whenever necessary. However, there are times when a temporary identity is too fragile to risk breaking through violence, and only the most subtle means of catching the individual will succeed. - Equipment: A set of clothes of your choose (usually from your latest location) with a hood, a poisoner's kit with one vial of poison, a disguise kit and a pouch containg 15 gp.
You carry little with you, and you have little time for anything that might make you stand out and slow your travels.
Every bounty hunter has their prefered catch, perhaps from that one time when everything went perfectly, that's still engraved in their minds. And of course, there are those demands that they turn down out of principle, morals or sheer lack of interest.

2 | I chase semi-intelligent monsters that torment towns - I prefer not to antagonise sentient races that might be my next employers |
3 | I capture the outlaws who risk challenging the upper levels - my sense of justice remains strong and I despise unethical demands |
4 | I work for those who feel slighted for the excitement and drama - I won't go for any job that's boring |
5 | I have a very specific employer/master - I won't/can't take jobs for anyone else |
6 | I only take jobs which secretly work towards my own desires - I won't go after anyone that has nothing to offer me |
7 | I target a particular race/monster to satisfy damages done to me in the past - I won't capture anyone who is not a member of that race/species |
8 | I like to be unpredictable, I will go for anyone regardless of loyalties - I won't go for the same type of person twice in a row |
Having gotten used to the colourful language of the underground and the exquisite pleasantries of the nobility, you know how to make people trust or believe you and overlook those small compromising details. However, over time the mistakes and faults begin to stack up and they begin to feel the heart-gnawing beast of betrayal - but by then you're long gone!
You have advantage on any Charisma rolls if you are speaking with that person for the first time.
Suggested Characteristics
Most bounty hunters have lived largely isolated lives, for better or for worse, and have difficulty committing to anything. This has left them free-spirited, independent and often highly frustrating for all who attempt to control their paths. Bounty hunters rarely have a somewhere to call home, but their seperation from everyday life can make them extremely loyal to those friends they acquire, perhaps even letting them beyond the illusory façade they rigorously maintain for their own protection.
