You noticed the world was lacking in something: There was a product or service that no merchant offered, or there was an existing one that could be refined and improved. Perhaps you're an artisan with an idea so bold and profitable that you're willing to compete against other Guilds. With an eye for detail, a gift of the gab and a willingness to develop, the ability to organize and manage a business venture, you set out in search of opportunities and risks to garner a profit. Your can-do attitude has led to the establishment of a small corner of the market for yourself and your product/service.

Choose a product, service or some other venture and work with your DM to detail the nature of your entrepreneurship.

Feature: Reputation Preceeds You

As an established entrepreneur, you can rely on certain benefits that notoriety provides. Guilds or businesses will offer you lodging, food, products or services in the hope of becoming a partner or stakeholder. In some cities and towns, a guildhall offers a central place to meet other merchants, which can be a good place to meet potential patrons, allies, or hirelings and further develop your business acumen.

Money often wields tremendous influence in all aspects of life. If you're accused of a crime, need information or access to areas not available to the public. Deals can be struck. You can also gain access to powerful political figures or nobles. Such connections might require the donation of money or establishment of contracts.
