With an original clear purpose in life lost and buried from your conscious mind, either deliberately or by circumstance, your old existence is a closed book. Your new patron, whether a living person, creature or deity, has given you a new purpose in life, as well as new constraints and a new philosophy or even personality. You may have contacts or links to your patron's organisation or followers, who will be able to look after you or steer you in the right direction.
That said, aspects of your former life continue to emerge at unpredictable moments, surfacing in the form of memories, unusual reactions, habits or even divergent aspects of your personality. You may discover and use skill proficiencies and languages that you have no memory of learning, or even slip into an entirely different personality in certain circumstances. You may know if this or not, and choose to embrace or reject it. Your personas might be entirely separate, know nothing of one another or even interact directly.

You are likely to be confused, intrigued or even angry about your changed circumstances, wishing to bury, or discover more about, your past life. Your new patron might be a source of gratitude or possibly resentment, depending on if your conversion was willing and how well your new purpose accords with your subconscious desires. Were you created to serve, to entertain, to discover, explore, defend or for some other purpose? Your new purpose in life might support, or entirely contrast with this, setting up an internal conflict that you might struggle to resolve or might simply try to ignore and suppress as best you can. This will manifest itself in some tension or unusual behaviour, as memories and mannerisms surface when they are least expected.
