Those who strike out to face the dangerous unknowns of the continent have prepared themselves with knowledge from previous travels, which have trained their eyes to spot the best and worst features of the land. They know the importance of working together to establish a settlement and keeping a hardy disposition to weather out the harsh conditions of the land. Some settlers represent a nation, a small community, or just their family, but all are looking for a new place to call home.

Settlers are stereotyped as having cheery dispositions, but the reality behind the image is a requirement of mental resilience needed to keep up morale without a home to feel safe. Many settlers are much more grim, with their settling as a necessity as their previous home is no longer livable. When making a settler, consider how your character stays strong enough to survive the harsh world in-between homes.
