As a Functionary you will have intimate knowledge of bureaucracies and have access to governmental records.
Functionaries, attendants, butlers, hangers-on, guild leaders, nobles, famous adventurers, and secret societies all rubbing elbows - and you're smack dab in the middle of all the hot gossip! Just don't be surprised if your royal connections may require a little help as well. Favors grease the wheels of the upper class.

With all of these tools at your disposal, you tend to have a strong base knowledge of most kingdoms in the Land of Ooo and you can always seem to work your way into the noble courts.
