Rejected Reincarnate Image

You once lived another life, until that life came to an end for some reason. A friendly druid came by and your comrades or family convinced or paid him to try and restore life to you. So the druid cast the reincarnate and once again life flew threw your remains, forming a new body of a different race, and maybe gender, than you were born as.

Unfortunately, your comrades or family were never able to accustom to your new form, and slowly or immediatelly, depending on the individual person, renounced you, ultimately forcing you to abandon the life you lived up until then.

Skill Proficiencies: Pick two skills of your choice that you learned before you were reincarnated.
Tool Proficiencies: Pick one tool or instrument that you learned before you were reincarnated.
Languages: Pick the racial tongue of the race you belonged to before you were reincarnated. If you already speak that language, pick a different language that you you learned before you were incarnated.
Equipment: A set of tools or an instrument that matches the tool or instrument you learned in your former life, a set of travellers clothes, a quarterstaff that you use as a walking stick, a pouch containing 15 gp, and a trinket of sentimental value that belonged to one of your former comrades or family members.

Cause of death.

Roll on the table to randomly determine the cause of your death before you were reincarnated. Alternatively come up with your own cause of death.

d12 Cause of death.
1 murdered by a close friend, comrade or family member
2 accident at work
3 fatal disease
4 accidentaly poisoned (spoiled fish, poisonous mushrooms, etc.)
5 fatal wound during military service
6 slain during a bandit raid
7 executed for comitting a crime
8 assassinated on behalf of a rival
9 natural hazard (struck by lightning, drowned in a flood, etc.)
10 aggressive monster
11 magical incident
12 trap in a cave

Feature: Old habits die hard.

You are still more used to the ways and customs of your former race than to those of your new one. Whenever you are interacting with a member of your former race and you would normally have disadvantage on a social ability check because your new race would have disadvantage, you instead have advantage on the roll. Also, members of your former race are amazed by how you "try to blend in", that they tend to be more open towards you than they would be towards others, offering you information more easily.

By implication, if you are interacting with a member of your new race, you have disadvantage on social ability checks whenever you are in a situation that deals with customs and habits of that race.
