Hero's Child Image

Your parent or parental figure was a Hero, well-known for their good deeds. While you have lived a fairly comfortable life up to this point thanks to the wealth your mother or father had amassed during their travels, you are now embarking on a quest of your own. Weather your predecessor's fame will be an aid or hindrance remains to be seen.

Defining Event

Your parent was a great hero, and as such, has done many heroic deeds. However, there is one they are best known for, one that is brought to the mind by all when their name is mentioned. the event is associated with them, and by extension, you. Pick an event from the table or roll randomly.

You share a family name with  great hero, and as such, all who know of your parent's good deeds will gladly aid you. Within the area in which your parent operated, many people will recognize your name, and will do what they can to aid you in your journey. however, anyone your parent may hve wronged, such as criminals, bandits, and beings of evil will gladly take their revenge through you.

IF your parent worked with anyone closely, such as an adventuring party or military organization, they may have had close friends that you may be in contact with. They may prove to be powerful allies in a time of need.

 
Variant Hero's child: Stuck in a shadow

It's very possibly that you may resent the heroic influence of your parent, and wish to come into your own, as a hero or not.  You may change your name, dstay away from their old stomping grounds, or even actively try to discredit them to avoid being associated with them.
