
once there was a beautiful kingdom, an oasis in the middle of the barren lands. that kingdom is said to be protected by a magic shard and the goddess contained in it. however there is a dark sect that worships a god that is said to have gain sentience and broke free of the goddess he is known as "the god who laughs" may historians have wagered on his name and his past but the god has shown itself as other gods and goddesses and many demons all to toy with the citizens of the world all that is known is that he laughs.. "the shard" is notorious in their dealings with the dark as well as the light.. even going as far as helping other factions all in the pursuit of chaos. the shard has a hierarchy system.. 8 "fingers" of the god who laughs whos name are secret even within the sect itself and its public followers known as hands of the shard
- Skill Proficiencies: all dark skills and magic go up by 1 and and another +1 for being evil alignment
"shadow walk" skill lets a follower use shadows like gates but only within sight of each side
an evil eye is always present so the hand can not be snuck up on
darksight gains another 10m
all skills with violence gain temp hp points for the amount damage given

if you laugh 3 times you enter berserk effect if anyone in your party goes beserk a dark entity will take over and the damage they roll goes toward a random person within range
you are the lowest of the low but the more violent the show the more honor you gain
roll for disadvantage on all but the most creative and violent attacks
Suggested Characteristics
your either an escaped prisoner or someone whos accepted death but will do anything to survive
you did it.. one most violent and deadly people among the shard n one knows who you are and you dont know any of the other fingers. you just get the most lucrative quests and some time the most dangerous
you can walk away from encounters where your enemy is evil aligned if you walk out on your party you regen 1d4 a min
you no longer lose yourself to berserk but you gain +1d4 damage til the end of encounter
