Having been approached by the Arcanum Convocation for your excellence at an arcane academy or in your independent arcane practice, you have become one of the Arcane Eyes, the magical guards that patrol the capital cities of the continent of Stralis, working alongside the Crownsguard, Councilguard, and city watch of these capital cities to defend the people with your arcane magic. As an Arcane Eye, you are one of many that work in service to the Arcanum Convocation, and while you wield some level of influence in the Convocation, you are nowhere near as influential as the High Arcanist you answer to.

Discuss with your DM which capital city you serve or served in, who you know at the Convocation tower in that city, how you know them, and how the Convocation came to know of you. Also determine whether you are still with the Arcane Eyes, and why they would allow you to adventure while in their employ.

Skill Proficiencies: Arcana, and your choice of Acrobatics, Athletics, or Investigation
Tool Proficiencies: Calligrapher's supplies, and any one gaming set of your choice
Languages: Any one language of your choice
Equipment: Your Arcane Eye uniform, any one gaming set of your choice, one set of calligrapher's supplies, a badge signifying you as an Arcane Eye, an empty journal, an ink pen and 1 ounce bottle of ink, and a leather pouch containing 20 gp

Feature: Right of the Eyes

As an Arcane Eye, you are capable of drawing on the authority and prestige of the Arcanum Convocation. Many of the common folk believe you have the right and authority to be wherever you are once they learn that you are an Arcane Eye, though criminals and members of the Vox Populi will become doubtful of your intentions and distrustful of your words upon learning of your affiliation to the Arcanum Convocation. You should be able to find shelter at any Convocation tower on the continent.

Suggested Characteristics

Arcane Eyes are guided and driven by the Arcanum Convocation and the organisation's constant push to develop and learn more arcane practices and secrets, and you likely get much of your personality from your colleagues. Your ideals may be those of the organisation, while your bonds and flaws are very likely to involve your colleagues as well.
