Elf touched dwarf

The character is a dwarven soldier who was stationed for many years in an elven community and became good friends with an elven wizard.

Skill Proficiencies: You gain proficiency in the athletics skill due to your military training. You have spent much of your free time in the Elvish libraries, and in deep conversation with your wizard friend, which has given you proficiency in the arcana skill.

Languages: During your time spent among the elves, you have learned to speak Elvish fluently.

Equipment: You have a component pouch and an apprentice spell book, given to you by your friend and mentor. You also have a few mementos from your time spent with the elves, including a book of elven stories and poetry, a cloak pin, and traveler's clothes that are a mix of Dwarven and Elvish origin.

Suggested Characteristics

The character is very much a dwarf, however, the influence of the elves is apparent to anyone who gets to know him. He has learned to appreciate more delicate and refined aspects of art, culture, and food. And, while the character still very much prefers reliable predictability, he has become much more tolerant and less judgmental of others' less structured approach to life.
