You have spent your life in the service of guiding yourself and other through the harsh Sinai Desert. You act as an intermediary between the realm of the unforgiving desert and the mortal world, performing sacred chants and prayers to ask the Sinai for safe passage. As a Bedouin, I’m your culture, all the knowledge gain and fought for by your ancestors is only passed down through word of mouth and never recorded. Punishment is severe for those that break this decree.

To ensure that the material gained by your ancestors passed along to the next generation, at the age of 17, a Bedouin is required to enter into an arranged marriage. Furthermore, Bedouin are seen as sacred people, most parties will do what they can to assist you in your mission and try to protect you as well. 

 
Skill Proficiencies: Survival, Perception
Languages: Two of your choice
Equipment: A red or white cloak with matching mask to protect you from the sun[/item] (a gift to you when you became a Bedouin), 5 sticks of incense, a set of common clothes, and a pouch containing 15 gp.
 
Feature: Knowledge of the Ancients

Armed with the knowledge of your ancestors you have little to no problem finding your way around the desert or identifying what lives in it. Twice per long rest, whenever you make an ability check to navigate the Sinai or identify the creatures within it, you gain advantage on the roll.

Bedouins are seen as scared from all parties. Most people will do their best to protect and help you as your guidance is invaluable. However, if the time calls for it, you must make the decision of whether or not to abandon a person in the Sinai if they endanger your or the people you are guiding. 

 
Suggested Characteristics

Bedouin are shaped by their experience in the Sinai. Their study of the history and creatures of the Sinai from their ancestors affect their mannerisms and ideals. Experience is everything to a Bedouin, but most importantly, keeping people safe is their main characteristic.
