You come from a culture built upon lightning fast attacks on poorly defended settlements, taking riches and people for your own gain. For whatever reason, you have left your people and become an adventurer.
Years of raiding settlements has given you a reputation with the small-folk. Your name carries such weight that those who prize leadership ability idolise and respect you, and those who have goods in need of protection are afraid of you. In settlements, minor criminal activity is unlikely to provoke legal repercussions - all who would report it are either terrified or enthralled by you - and local toughs are more disposed to provide you with information.
Suggested Characteristics
Raiders are often brash, crude, and more than a little boisterous. Many consider them to be distasteful, and if their background is known, a raider can often find themselves unwelcome in villages. However, alongside the negative aspects of their culture, raiders often have a strong sense of loyalty, duty, and perhaps ironically, personal liberty.

You come from a culture built upon brutal sea raids on coastal settlements, taking riches and people for your own gain. Perhaps you have found the land you wish to call your own, and do not know how to leave a life on the move behind.
You are deeply familiar with the ways of the sea, and as such have a feel for the weather. You can take a minute to establish how the day's weather will pan out, how many hours of daylight there are left, and based on the position of the sun, which way is north. Equally, as long as you can see the night sky, you can work out and navigate directions based on the stars.
