How you spent your early life is less than a memory to you now, for you were truly born when you first lost yourself in the Astral Sea. Drifting among the plane of thought, you delved not only into yourself but the planar systems as a whole, timelessly flowing with the whims of consciousness. Whether it was a week, month, year, decade or millennia that passed in Wildspace, your time drifting felt like an eternity. Eventually, you learned to listen to the white noise all around; you started to understand the waves of the astral sea. Eventually, you returned to Wildspace, forever changed by the experience.

Your time lost in the Astral Sea has given you an innate knowledge of the flows of thought. You gain the ability to be a Spelljammer Pilot regardless of whether or not you can cast spells. Additionally, while in the Astral Sea, you can make Insight or Investigation checks to determine what is happening around you, to discover Astral Sea entities, or to eavesdrop on those passing through the Astral Sea. This operates similarly to someone using Survival or Perception on the material plane.
