Contacts

As an apprentice you were often called upon to deliver clandestine packages to nobles, whether they were cures for private illnesses or poisons for their rivals was not for you to know. As a journeyman you became familiar with the innkeeper in the local towns, often trading herbs for a bed.

Variant Apothecary: Apprentice: Journeyman

Variant Feature: Off the Beaten Track

After your apprenticeship ended you spent a period of time in the field, gathering and trading herbs and fungi. You began journeying further and further afield as you searched for rarer plants. Overnight trips become week long trips, and week long trips turned into month long trips as you traversed between your favourite way-points, be they forest, cave, or waterway.

You are used to leaving the highways and by-ways in search of rare plants, as such you have an xcellent understanding of the land around you, you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. You can easily identify all the plants and fungi native to your region, and when confronted with an unfamiliar plant you know how to go about identifying it. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to two other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.
