You exist, that you know for sure, but everything else in your memory is one blurry mess. You are here with nothing more than your clothing, maybe a couple of trinkets inside your pockets and a some useful items that you found in your immediate vicinity when you came to consciousness. Who are you? Do you have kin, family, friends? Are they alive? These are all questions you don't know the answer to. Maybe you don't feel like they need answering, in which case: Happy trails! But in case you do feel like looking for answers, you better start putting the pieces of your memory together quickly before your past catches up with your future.

- Equipment: A set of clothing fit for your background, a trinket or two or a meaningful item from your past, non-magical adventuring supplies with a combined worth of less than 50 GP that you have managed to gather.
You suffer from a condition that is commonly known as Amnesia, forgetfulness to an extreme degree. This does not only apply to what you believe to have known before: you have forgotten how to remember, and so you need to train your memory as it were in order to function normally again. Initially, you may experience episodes of confusion, memory loss and disorientation as you explore your surroundings, but as you settle in again, you will no longer suffer the aforementioned side effects and potentially heal and regain some of your memory over time by interacting with people or visiting key locations from your former life. Work together with your DM to ensure that restorative events can take place in your adventure.
