"Don't cheer for the roadies. It only encourages their poor life choices"
-Thom Quackenbush
You were employed by a touring band of musicians or other entertainers to set up and maintain equipment. The Roadie is there to make sure things don’t go wrong and if they do go wrong, to fix them, and if they can’t fix it, figure it out and find out how to fix the problem. At least that's how you started, until you worked a very specific event with a particular entertainer or group that changed the course of your life. Their performance so touched your soul that you lost your sense of self, dedicating every fiber of your existence to your idol(s). You now spend the majority of your life fawning over your idol(s) and are pretty much aware of everything that involves your idol(s). You now even show up at at events where you haven't been hired to help. Your idol(s) may have even hired others to ensure you keep your distance but you know that's just because they don't want the other fans to feel left out.

As an established member of a union, you can rely on certain benefits that membership provides. Your fellow union members will provide you with lodging and food if necessary, and pay for your funeral if needed. In some cities and towns, a union hall offers a central place to meet other members of your profession, which can be a good place to meet potential patrons, allies, or hirelings.
The unions often wields some political power. If you are accused of a crime, your union will support you if a good case can be made for your innocence or the crime is justifiable. You can also gain access to midlevel political figures through the union, if you are a member in good standing. Such connections might require the donation of money or magic items to the union's coffers.
You must pay dues of 2 gp per month to the union. If you miss payments, you must make up back dues to remain in the union’s good graces.
