Your internship at Bloodtoe's Boutique of Bits Wing and Things has given you unpaid training in the art of augmenting armor and weapons with monster bits. You may have dreamed of plate-mail made of dragon scales or darts made of vampire teeth but unfortunately you came to learn that most of the work involved squeezing foul excretions from glands of monsters you wish you hadn't heard of for that extra bit of shine on the Paladin's shield.
- Skill Proficiencies: Hammering stuff is hard. Gain proficiency in Athletics. And unfortunately you also squeeze and slice stuff. Gain proficiency in Nature.
- Tool Proficiencies: Hammering and sowing stuff - Gain proficiency with Leatherworker's tools and Smith's tools.
- Languages: None. Unless getting yelled at is a language.
- Equipment: I mean it's an internship. But they have to give you a few perks. Or rather you were able to steal a few from the break room: 5gp, Smith's Tools, Leatherworker tools, Choice of scale-mail or chain mail, choice of martial weapon.
1/day during a short rest give a temporary bonus to a weapon or armor using monster parts.
1 monster part is consumed as a base.
For 1 hour:
The weapon has a +1 to attack and damage (attack and damage bonus increases by +1 every time character’s proficiency bonus increases but requires using an additional monster part for each additional point).
Damage can be any of the following types that correspond to the type of monster part used - electric, cold, acid, poison, necrotic, fire, psychic or if none are applicable just normal damage.
For armor a +1 to AC + resistance to any of the above damage types of an applicable monster part (i.e. scale of a fire dragon for fire resistance) is available. AC bonus increases by +1 every time proficiency bonus increases.
