In your past you were betrayed by someone you loved and cared about, realising they had never cared for you at all. You had believed them to not care about who you were and treated you like everyone else but you were sorely mistaken and it came to cause severe trauma. This makes it severely difficult for you to trust anyone else and means you’re often a lone wolf but very good at pretending to be someone you’re not to fit in.

- Equipment: You have an item that brings back the memory of the one that betrayed you, a dark cloak, a dagger, thieves’ tools and a pouch of 15 gold.-
Due to your betrayal you are now very good at figuring out when someone is lying to you. If you are unable to call out a lie then you can remember details that brings their statements into question.
If your DM allows it, you may be able to gain Insight and Investigation check advantages to determine when someone is lying to you to help you uncover the truth.

Due to your betrayal you are far less likely to trust anyone and let anyone into your life to prevent anyone from knowing you personally to avoid being hurt once more. This has worked its way into your characteristics, traumatising you.
