You live life freely with no restraints, whoever commands you is the either the highest bidder or the most helpless wretch. Maybe you used to be a soldier who retired from war to make a profit. It's possible you were once a peasant who rose up to make a name for yourself. You might be a greedy freelancer on the lookout for money, or maybe a hero looking to serve justice and get paid. You have no set alliances, but plenty of people are either grateful or hateful of your deeds.
- Skill Proficiencies: You've been working in strange situations for some time, so you've picked up a few random skills along the way. You are either a stealthy killer, a mighty warrior, a charismatic ambassador, or a skilled saboteur.
- Tool Proficiencies: You've had to build fortifications for yourself before, so you have skills with Carpenter's Tools and the odd few doohickies.
- Languages: The more languages you know, the more work you can find! You can speak all languages that humanoids use.
You could be a killer that hunts down specific targets, a soldier-for hire suited for horder, or a saboteur that dabbles in both.
During combat, you may select one enemy to focus on. You have advantage on all rolls that involve you and the target, you also gain +1 on all rolls with up to 3 enemies between you and the target.

Good Reputation. Anybody who you've worked for before will be happy to hire you again. Aside from that, you have a good name with those affiliated to your employer or others you have benefited by your actions.
You don't want to ruin your reputation or reveal your identity, so you kill quietly. A puff of gas or a drop of poison always does the trick!
You know you can't risk staying around for retaliation, so you make sure to get out of the way when you have a target on your back. So instead, you can pick the dodge or the dash action if you succeed an attack.
