You are a witch, or at least many believe you to be. You might have no magical abilities at all but you are the one the people of the village you live near go to when they are desperate, and you help them, for a price. You know many things and lean into the superstitions of the people of the village. Whether you believe in the solutions you provide, or not, they usually seem to work. Living on the outskirts of a village for an extended period of time, you are accustomed to living alone. Many village witches are the subject of much superstition and are tolerated rather than accepted.
You likely won't begin your adventuring career in the village you lived in for so long. What made you leave? How long has it been? Do you ever hope to return?
