Tavern Drunk Image

You've fallen low. You've spent most of your coin on drink, and whatever items you owned were bargained for said drink. Contrary to popular belief, Tavern owners adore Barflies, so long as they're here to drink and not scare patrons away.

Skill Proficiencies: Deception, Persuasion
Tool Proficiencies: one type of musical instrument, one type of artisan's tool
Equipment: A homemade mug of your own design, a memento of the life you drank away(item of your choice), and an expired sobriety token.

Feature: Everyone's favorite drinking buddy

You have a natural sense of awareness when it comes to the closest bar or tavern. Most tavern owners you've frequented are delighted to let you stay for a reduced fee, mostly because you'll spend whatever money you have left on alcohol. You are well known around the strange community of alcoholics and can use that to your advantage. With a promise of booze and revelry, you can persuade most drunkards to come to your aid or have them cause distractions. Just be sure to keep to your word. There are not much these drunkards remember but being swindled of a drink is something they never forget.

Suggested Characteristics

Drunks are loud, sluggish, and not very keen on details, but their drunkenness also reveals the trustworthy from the deceitful, because subtlety is not something a drunk knows how to perform.

d6 Personality Trait
1 I know a story relevant to almost every situation. The details are just a little fuzzy.
2 No one expects a drunk to remember what's spoken around them, but I remember. Most of it anyways.
3 The only love I need in my life is the one I've got in this bottle...and the bottle in my backpack...and the other backpack
4 You'll never be expected to do anything if you're always piss drunk.
5 My favorite 3 words are On, The, and House. In that order.
6 Try and separate me from the bottle I've got on me, and you'll end up face down in the mud.
d6 Ideal
1 Booze. Booze makes the world go round. And around and around and around and aroun-. (Neutral)
2 Stories. The best stories are the ones we trade over a bottle of the good stuff. Ain't no point in drinking if everyone's just gonna sit around and stare at their glass. (Good)
3 Creativity. The best ideas come from the bottom of a bottle, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. (Chaotic)
4 Sin. Drinks lead to sin, and the best sins are done drunk. (Evil)
5 Friends. I may be a drunk idiot, but at least I'm a drunk idiot with friends. (Neutral)
6 Memory. We drink to remember the friends we lost, we drink to forget the faces that haunt us. (Any)
d6 Bond
1 If you can sit me down in front of a warm fire with a bottle of ale or mead, then you'd be the closes thing I'd have to a friend. I'll remember this.
2 Legend tells of a bottle which never empties, whose contents always taste of your favorite poison. I hunt the tales of this legend to this day.
3 My dream is to one day open a right and proper tavern of my own, for the sad saps who need a soft pillow and a warm bottle.
4 I recognize the kinship between me and others of my lot, I'll do my darndest to help them, if I'm not blacked out in a pool of my own vomit.
5 I'll do what I can and what I must to help the bar I frequent stay afloat. It's like my second home!
6 A tavern is a sacred place for stories to be shared and drink to be served. I'll never allow a barfight to sully such a wondrous place.
d6 Flaw
1 When I'm sober, I'm downright the nastiest person you'll ever meet.
2 I'm very easily swayed by drink, much to me and my allies' detriment.
3 The drink sustains me, the drink keeps me sane. The drink ruined the life I led. Any who knew me from before this are either not in contact with me or followed me into this hell.
4 I lost the respect of my friends and family a long time ago. The shame follows me like a haunting whisper in my sober mind.
5 I am brutally honest when drunk. I do not care who is listening, or who I may be speaking about.
6 My drunken nature makes me quick to anger, and violent outbursts are common when I'm around.
