You come from humble backgrounds surrounded by magic, but despite your best efforts, you yourself cannot use any. To make up for this, you have trained your body to the limits of peak performance. Upon setting out for your own adventure, you come across a spellbook that is radiating a faint magical energy. Opening it, you find an inscription:

The Demon Blades have set their fate.

Upon reading the words, the pages begin to turn rapidly, stopping partway through, glowing with black energy as a greatsword with a large black blade emerges from within.

Skill Proficiencies: This background gives the user proficiency in Arcana and Athletics.

Languages: This background allows the user to speak Abyssal.

Equipment: This background gives the user a spellbook. This spellbook can only be used with specific items that specify the "Castless" background and cannot have spells added to it.

At first (1st) level, you gain access to the item "Demon Blade: Demon Slayer".

At fourth (4th) level, you gain access to the item "Demon Blade: Demon Dweller".

At eight (8th) level, you gain access to the item "Demon Blade: Demon Destroyer".

At twelfth (12th) level, you gain access to the item "Demon Blade: Demon Slasher".

Spell List

At twelfth (12th) level, you gain access to the spell "Black Devil Armor". You can cast this spell at will up to three times per day (resets on long rest).
