Once an apprentice of a master tamer and breeder of exotic creatures, you look back on each of the scars on your body with fondness knowing the road before you is probably going to be easier than your first week on the ranch! It was a livelihood of extreme danger and great reward as the creatures you learned to take care of showed you a different side of the world. They aren't "monsters" for you see them as the majestic, awesome, cunning, and brilliant beings they are. The decision to leave behind those little critter wasn't an easy one, but they definitely prepared you for a life of adventure.

The time you spent at the farm or ranch where you learned monster husbandry comes to a close though it is bitter sweet. Scars you have reminding you of baby's first fangs, or a missing finger that taught you the valuable lesson of proper feeding schedules, thats all behind you now as you look forward to your next journey.
