Wayfinder Image

You grew up in the Forest of Anghmarra and are especially skilled at surviving the hazards of places so touched with Fey energy. Wayfinders act under the guidance of a Coven of the Sagemother, the two are nigh inseparable. Most families have at least one wayfinder, they provide food and supplies for their communities, as well as sell their services out to outsiders seeking to delve the forest.

Money has little value within the forest so payment for such services usually comes in the form of difficult to obtain resources, ritual components for the coven, or simply food. No newcomer may be guided by a wayfinder without the consent of an obeah; penalties for going behind the coven to do so are harsh, usually resulting in being exiled from the community or being stripped of weapons and left in the wilderness alone.

Suggested Characteristics

Wayfinders are the unsung pillars of their communities, being responsible for much of the food and wealth that comes their way. They tend to be polite to all, having been disciplined for much of their life by the obeah. Their closest bonds are to their community, though this can lead to shortsightedness.
