Lycanthrope Image

Available only for humans and half-elves

Be it a trick from an evil deity, a cursed bloodline, or a hex from a mage, lycanthropes can come about in many ways. A lycanthrope is usually a werewolf, but werebears, weretigers, and even werebats, exist. As long as it is a mammal, it is possible. On nights of the full moon, lycanthropes transform until dawn. At level 2, they can control this transformation at will.

Level 1 lycanthropes are often shunned, chased away, murdered, or enslaved. Upon reaching level 2, however, they are prized as soldiers, workers, and slaves, and often welcomed into the army and towns.

You can choose between what animal you want, with each having different stats among them. Depending on what you choose, the stats of the werebeast changes. You apply the base species strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom, and charisma. Upon reaching level 2, you retain your personality and alignment and use your own intelligence, wisdom, and charisma. No matter the level, if the animal has less HP than the you, then you use your HP. If the animal has more HP, then you use that coefficient instead. If any stat is lower than the yours (except HP, wisdom, intelligence, and charisma), add the animal’s stat plus your respective together. This is all due to the nature of a werebeast taking on a humanoid form, rather than a pure wild shape.

Skill Proficiencies: Nature, Animal Handling, Survival, Intimidation, and/or Perception (Choose two)
Tool Proficiencies: Thieve’s Tools
Languages: Draconic, Giant, Elvish, or Dwarvish (Choose One)

Werebeast Species Options

Be aware you can only choose one for the entire campaign. If the animal’s stats are lower than yours (except HP, wisdom, intelligence, and charisma), add the animal’s stat plus your respective together. This is all due to the nature of a werebeast taking on a humanoid form, rather than a pure wild shape.

People can see a wild look in your eyes, or perhaps a devastated look. Some might even be able to sense how wild your soul is. Commoners will typically avoid you until level 2, upon which they will extend every courtesy. They will not help in battle, however, and will try to kill you if proven dangerous.
