The flames have always loved you. Candle flames flare up to say hello; stove fires crackle merry greetings; dying embers glow once more. You've been burnt many times by their friendly kisses, but never as badly as you should have been - never as badly as they would have burnt anybody else. The flames have always loved you, and they do their best to keep you from harm, flammable creature that you are.
Nobody quite knows why the flames seem to dance more enthusiastically when you draw near, why oil lamps always seem to last just a little too long. They try not to think about it. Tinder always catches faster when you're the one to strike the flint, which is useful! Fires in general catch faster when you're around, which is... suspicious.
