Criminal Doctor Image

Racketeers, Thieves and Assassins may feel they have no place at hospitals or holy houses, too many questions asked. They need somewhere less official, away from church and state. Back room healing houses have been around since as long as people could stab one another, they act as a safe haven for the criminal underworld; do not harm to the doctor or their patients and and everyone will live to kill each other another day. These doctors come few and far between but are well respected and tend to have plenty of opportunities to hone their craft.

Many long hours in the darkness of backrooms stitching up the wrong end of the wrong jobs, has gained you the respect of particular criminal circles who know better than to harm you. You have a safe place outside the knowledge of the law, where all your tools are and where all your patients are treated. None but criminals would know to look here, at the expense that you get the occasional bloodied mess walking in.

Variant Criminal Doctor: Freelance

Some doctors find that safe houses and surgeries only prolong the time it takes to get some proper healing done, or have not yet established themselves within a hub of criminal activity. These freelancers tend to seek work more actively, and occasionally have a hand in creating more work.

Variant Feature: Harmless Roads

Your criminal circles may extend far past the confines of the city. Being more of a house call or on the job doctor grants you safe passage along particular roads that would otherwise be plagued with underling thieves.
