You are a messenger to the people of the world. Your duty is to walk into town, play your horn, and foretell the coming of a new deity. But there are no churches who currently worship this being. You are unique in your beliefs, and therefore alone in them. But you are passionate, and certain of your deity's existence. They just need to be heard. You are not necessarily a cleric—spreading the word of a god or goddess is not the same thing as channeling divine power.
Choose or create a god or goddess that is not yet written into your DM's setting and work with your DM to detail the nature of this god and of your religious awakening. Do you have clear evidence for the deity's existence? Have they ever sent you a message and how did it come to you? Did you follow any religion or deity before this? How did your community react to your claims?
You can also outright make this deity as fake as everyone else thinks they are. It is up to you and your DM whether the deity is real or not.

Messengers Of The New Divine can come from many different backgrounds. But almost all have had a unique experience that has led them to believe in a new god, unrelated to the pantheons of their homelands. They are devout to a T and stubbornly refuse to lose faith in their god or goddess.
