Melancholic

You acknowledge that life has no inherent meaning or value, but still find purpose in certain goals or objectives. You may see the world as a blank canvas to be filled with your own meaning.

• You gain a +2 bonus to their Survival checks, as you are distrusting and are focused on your surroundings to stay alive.
• You suffer a -2 penalty to your Athletics checks, as your low spirits may make it difficult for you to collect energy for physically-straining activities.

Neutral

You have no strong feelings one way or the other. You may be pragmatic and focused on achieving specific goals, regardless of their inherent value.

Upbeat

You believe that, while life has no inherent meaning or value, individuals can still find purpose and joy in their experiences. You may see the world as a challenge to be conquered.

Blissful

You have a lot of energy to create meaning and feel faithful that other individuals also have the power to realize that meaning and value in their own lives. You may be seen as idealistic or naïve by others, but have a strong sense of purpose and determination.

Triggers

Certain events or situations may trigger a change in the your nihilistic disposition. For example, the death of a loved one may cause you to become more negative, while achieving a major personal goal may cause you to become more positive. The severity of the trigger and the resulting change in disposition will depend on the DM's discretion.
