Among the ranks of city watch, police men and guards who seek to enforce the law and prevent crime there are groups who seek to determine who has committed a crime after the fact and bring them to justice through use of their wit, intuition and keen eyes. Among those group of investigators there are a rare few that apply a more scientific approach, through use of evidence analysis, autopsy, and experiment you have grown adept at obtaining and applying clues many detectives could not.

Just like more traditional fields of study there are many different types of forensic science. Most forensic scientists have a type they prefer or are most adept in. You might be experienced in multiple types of forensic science or you may have a particular specialty, if so you may choose it or roll on the table below.

This could manifest in creating psychological profiles of those who commit crimes or suspects in investigations to assist law enforcement in locating perpetrators, or you might work to identify when suspects or witnesses are under the effects of mind altering magic. |
Amongst those who don't follow your craft and especially those who do your skill is obvious. Through a combination of presenting your credentials, communication with fellow forensic experts and use of large words you can usually gain access to a crime scene or pieces of evidence related to a crime your investigating. Those who don't have the access or authority to grant your requests avoid impeding you or pass along your requests. Additionally, among those who follow your specialty your reputation can sometimes precede you causing your fellow experts to often have strong opinions about you and your work.
