Tunnel Runners are dwarves who have spent most of their lives navigating the perilous and twisting tunnels of the Underdark. They are skilled in survival, stealth, and combat, and have a deep understanding of the dangers and wonders that lie beneath the earth's surface.

Tunnel Runners are often employed by dwarven clans or other adventurers as scouts, guides, or explorers. They use their keen senses and knowledge of the terrain to navigate through the twisting tunnels and avoid the many dangers that lie in wait, from cave-ins and rockslides to traps and ambushes by Underdark creatures.

While Tunnel Runners are typically known for their combat and survival skills, they also have a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and power of the Underdark. They are often driven by a desire to discover new wonders and mysteries hidden deep beneath the surface, and may spend years exploring and mapping uncharted tunnels and caverns.

Despite their rugged exterior, Tunnel Runners are fiercely loyal to their clan and kin. They often see themselves as guardians of the dwarven race, protecting their people from the many threats that lurk in the darkness of the Underdark. They are known for their honor, courage, and unwavering determination in the face of danger, and are respected by both allies and enemies alike.

You have spent much of your life navigating the twisting tunnels and caverns of the Underdark, and you have developed a keen sense for detecting danger and avoiding ambushes. When you are in a subterranean environment, you can use your action to make a Wisdom (Perception) check to look for signs of danger, such as traps, hidden foes, or unstable terrain. If you succeed on the check, you gain advantage on initiative rolls and Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide or move silently for the next hour.
